Deep can refer to:

• a player (defensive or offensive) who generally stays in the area of field furthest toward the endzone to be scored in. Deep is a standard position in zone defense. Defenders assuming the position of deep typically also assume the role of primary coordinator for the defense in that, given their view of the entire playing field, they are in the best position to inform and direct their teammates.
• a "deep cut" is one where a significant distance is covered by an offensive player.
