The Halifax Ultimate Recreational League, locally known as HURL, is a Halifax based ultimate league.
The league focuses on organizing and promoting recreational ultimate in Halifax and the surrounding areas. Its summer league (June - August), hosted on grass fields in the city, has both a recreational division for new players and a competitive division for more skilled players. The fall (September - October) and spring (May) leagues are on third-generation astroturf fields while the winter league (December - April) is played indoors. Summer, fall, and winter teams are co-ed. The league has been experimenting with both a co-ed division, a women's division, and an open division in the spring league.
HURL games adhere to the most current UPA Rules.
