Maple Grove Park
From Ultipedia
Maple Grove Park is the location of a dedicated multi-field Ultimate facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, known as the "Winnipeg Ultimate Park". The site is city-owned land, formerly used as a dog park.
The first phase of construction includes five fields, an irrigation system, a 79-stall parking lot and trees to reduce wind. Future phases will see the addition of four fields and 120 parking stalls.
[edit] Controversy
Controversy arose when dog owners complained that the space remaining after field construction -- 2 acres -- would not be enough room to walk their dogs. Field construction is still proceeding as planned.
