The Spartans are the alter ego of Discs in Turmoil. The team is a tribute to the film of Frank Miller's graphic novel 300. Taking its logo & team calls from the movie. The team consists mostly of players from Disc in Turmoil but with other players from around Ireland.

To date the Spartans have only competed in one Tournament, The 2007 Windmill Windup. Finishing in 20th place the Spartans were noted for their good Spirit & great Partying. Before the tournament the Spartans recorded victories over Jabba the Huck & M.A.C the Irish Women's team.
