Ultipedia:Manual of style
From Ultipedia
The Ultipedia manual of style has the simple purpose of making the encyclopedia easy to read by following a consistent format — it is a style guide. Different people have different preferences, but as long as we agree on one it will make the site easier to read.
For the overarching principles see Wikipedia's five pillars. Further discussion is at simplified ruleset.
Ultipedia's manual of style will borrow heavily from the Wikipedia manual of style. Until more information is added to this article, please follow the general guidelines of the Wikipedia model.
[edit] Style remarks specific to Ultipedia
- The word Ultimate should always be capitalized (as per the Wikipedia Ultimate article).
- The word Ultipedia should always be capitalized (as Wikipedia is always capitalized on Wikipedia).
- When in doubt, do not capitalize.
- Verifiability is sometimes difficult to acheive in the context of a fast changing sport. Do not to present untested ideas as fact, label your brainstorms as such.
- Feel free to inject occasional humour into your entries.
- Reasoned dissenting opinions and interpretations are welcome where applicable but it's essential that civility is maintained. See Ultipedia:Dissent Style Guide.
